The main objective of the TITAN project was to develop a methodology and a tool for techno-economic evaluation of minimum-risk introductory routes for new narrowband and broadband services in the residential and small business market.

RACE 2087 TITAN was a project within the RACE II Programme (Research in Advanced Communications in Europe). The main objective of RACE II has been the introduction of Integrated Broadband Communications, which represents the European Commission's major effort to support precompetitive RTD (Research and Technological Development) in the field of telecommunications during the period of the Third Framework Programme of scientific research and development.
